The importance of fasting glucose analysis is as follows:
Our bodies require energy to function properly, and we get that energy from the foods we eat. Our diet (whatever we eat and drink) includes three main sources of energy (also known as calories): protein, fat, and carbohydrates (sugars, starches, and fibre).
When the body absorbs most of the sources
Carbohydrates are converted through digestion into a very important source of immediate energy, a form of sugar called glucose.
Our bodies depend on the action of a number of different natural body chemicals called hormones, including insulin, amylin, incretin, and glucagon; They work together to control how glucose is used. in kind
In the second form of diabetes, these hormones no longer work the way they should, and this leads to a high level of glucose in the blood.
When fasting, the hormone glucagon is stimulated and this increases plasma glucose levels in the body. If a person does not have diabetes, the body will produce insulin to rebalance the increased glucose levels.
But people with diabetes either don't produce enough insulin to rebalance their blood sugar
They have (usually in type 1 diabetes), or their body is not able to use insulin efficiently enough (typical of type 2 diabetes).
As a result, when blood sugar levels are tested, people with diabetes will have much higher sugar levels than people without diabetes
